    Commentary

    Laurent a voulu identifier Romain avec Lécapéne, mais l’empereur cité peut être aussi bien Romain II Porphyrogénète que Romain Ier Lécapéne. Le style du droit paraît néanmoins dater plutôt de la seconde moitié du Xe siècle; il s’agirait donc de Romain II.
