    Commentary

    Léon a été associé à l’Empire par son père Constantin le 6 juin 751. Ce dernier mourut le 14 septembre 775. W. Seibt [1] a édité une pièce proche de la nôtre, mais au droit l'invocation trinitaire et au revers le nom de l’empereur sont gravés de manière fautive. L’editeur en conclut que le sceau est une copie, peut-être ancienne.
